just new to the forum and recently diagnosed with dry eye ,currently using an eye compress and drops and trying to get my head around this condition

Tony welcome to the forum! Have you tried gel in your eyes at night time - I would recommend thealoz duo gel! I use it at night and my eyes are definitely not as dry in the morning since I started to use it.

HI Tony: What ever you put in your eyes find out what it is preserved with first and at all costs avoid anything preserved with BAC (benzalkonium chloride) Steroids if they are prescribed are usually preserved but non preserved ones are available...ditto antibiotics and some OTC eye drops.
