  • Cornea abrasion

I thought my terrible dry eyes, redness, blurry vision etc was bad. But that was until I somehow--merely through blinking--managed to cause a corneal abrasion in my field of vision pn my most vulnerable left eye.. Tremendous pain, and almost total loss of vision. The resident I saw at one the top eye clinics in America was totally dismissive. Told me because of my very very dry eyes I was "between a rock and a hard place." Very comforting. And this was at Wilmer at Johns Hopkins. The first days were really terrible and though most of the sever pain is gone, the sight is still minimal. Over the past years I have gone to the best eye doctors in NY and at Hopkins and nothing has helped. In fact this happened after a premier dry eye specialist, cleaned my lids and opened my glads. Very painful. All it seemed to do was make my dry eyes dryer. Has anybody had the more severe treatments for the cornea like debriding? I can only imagine how painful that could be. But I really think I have created a scar on my field of vision and am very concerned.
