Thanks Waterbee, interesting reading. Finally had appointment with specialist, diagnosed with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, another 4 week course of steroid drops and a 3 month cycle of Doxycycline prescribed. Feeling in a much better place than I was 3 weeks ago, last week I had a Quantum Reflex Analysis done and showed up some deficiencies vitamin/mineral wise so about to start on few extra supplements in combination with the fish and flaxseed oil currently taking. Have accepted this as a new chapter in my life and doing the very best to stop dwelling on how much my life has changed, apparently acceptance is key but damn, is pretty hard!!! If I can eliminate the eye pain then I will feel as if half the battle has been won. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, I hope every member on this board finds happiness in 2016 x

Yes geminijo, me!!!
My eyes have been RUINED because of the eyeline tattoo…. The glands, dryness, function, everything. I look and feel chronically sick everyday. Awful. And the process itself triggered a subraorbital nerve that caused an immediate and permanent forehead clasp headache that hasn’t ceased to this day, 2.5 years after eyeline tattoo…. It’s ruined me, my everyday and night is consumed by the awfulness, and my existence is around enduring the eyes/head. It’s ruined every experience of life joy I should have otherwise relished. Not to mention the shame , humiliation (because I’ve had to explain to so many people what I’d had done / the reason for my daily wretchedness), the sickening amount of money spent on a whole range of pain specialists, opthalmologists, neurologists, acupuncturists, IPL treatments, nerve blocks, radio frequency modulation procedures, chiropractors, osteos, the list goes on….. I want to sue those beauticians that did this to me. I now hate myself and how consumed I am with my face awfulness. Needless to say, it’s impacted my marriage (I got it done I. The lead-up to my wedding… ), relationships, ability to work, experience as a new mum, mental health….. oh, and now I have to see psychiatrists too.
please help!!! Have you found relief…??

MissMon I am so very sorry to hear what you're going through. That's awful. It sounds like you have a lot of medical professionals that have been involved in helping you recover, and now some psych/mh help as well (that's very, very important, especially when the condition is caused by an elective or cosmetic procedure of any kind). But I'm wondering about whether you have any personal support. We have some Zoom support groups. Our next one meets a week from Friday. Here's a link:

Also feel free to call us at the Dry Eye Foundation - 800-484-0244. I'm out of town this week but Aidan will be there, and I'll be back next week.
Hang in there! And reach out!Rebecca Petris
