  • Another LASIK Dry Eye Sufferer

    Hi everyone!

I had LASIK about 8 years ago and now I have dry eyes and my eye sight has changed since the surgery so to add insult to injury I’m now back in glasses and can not use contact lenses

I have been using Hyloforte followed by NovaTears two minutes later, twice a day as advised by my Optometrist, and I find this to really help a lot. I also use the Manuka Honey Drops which I think is too soon to know if it helps yet.

I heard when women get older their eyes usually get dry as they age, so I can’t stop thinking about what is going to happen to my eyes as I get older.

I wish I didn’t get the surgery and I heard of a lady at my work who planned to get LASIK in a mo the time and I wanted to be a good friend and told her my regrets. Getting LASIK I believe is like playing Russian roulette with your eyes and I think your eyesight with contacts and nice moist eyes is just amazing. But she didn’t want to hear it and said she’s going ahead with it and the specialist told her there is no risks and ‘he is very qualified and experienced’. I tried.

I have been following this forum for a while and some posts really inspired and encouraged me and I’m happy to be a part of this group.
