Hi Everyone,
This site is great. I was looking for help with my dry eyes as its driving me crazy... I have been suffering with dry eyes (my right one is worse) for years but I seem to have attacks when its worse than normal, again my right eye gives me the most problems, I suffer with sensitivity to light, they water alot and i get this stabbing like pain, oh I also suffer from Hayfever which causes allergies with my eyes. My optician has cofirmed that my eyes are dry and he can see the dry spots on my right eye. I do wear contact lenses (daily disposables) when my eyes are feeling ok, I try to wear my glasses but I am being vain I know, but I dont like to wear them as I feel like a dawk in them...
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can alleviate the pain and dryness in my eyes when they are having an episode? I am 37, in good health, I have not seen a doctor, but have seen an ophthalmologist. Do I need to see my general doctor? I take on a daily basis Flax seed oil, Fish oil and use ointment at night and various drops during the day. I do find that hot compresses help a little. I must admit I am a cronic eye rubber, bad I know and I do sit on my hands.... It seems like such a trivial thing when you say you have dry eyes, but it makes me feel so miserable when they are playing up, does anyone else feel this way?? Sorry this is such an essay, but if anyone can offer me any advice I would be so grateful.
Many Thanks
Deb.
