I have had severe dry eye for many years and, after RK and a failed corneal transplant developed other corneal problems. I have had a struggle with an American corneal specialist, and too many to count South AFrican specialists. Try as I might, I cannot get a definitive answer - poor blood supply, poor nerve supply, should not have had "lamellar" graft etc. etc . They tell me that my cornea is uneven - lumpy and speckled. Then I get erosions and at its worst, ulcers. Through my efforts fighting the dry eye syndrome
I have had no ulcers etc for almost two years. Two months ago I woke up to a very red, very painful eye. Stepped up my rice baggy treatments, kept my eye covered morning and night but to no avail. Tried the goggles, sleeping is uncomfortable and they seem too big. Have tried tightening the sides but doesnt stay like that and loosen up again. Am on FLUCON AND dWELLE DROPS- little improvement. Still taking my stem cell enhancement capsules.

Can anyone suggest anthing at all that may help????
