This came on page 2 of the FDA hearing thread and I didn't want it to get lost in the flood so I'm posting it separately here:

Welcome Ding, I was so glad to talk to you and I hope I didn't embarrass you by posting about you in that way. I sure hope we can be of some help and encouragement here. Has anybody out there got any possible doctor recommendations in Arkansas? I am afraid I have no contacts there at all.

    Hi Ding and welcome,

So sorry that you have to be here, but it is good that you found this site for the support that you need right now. Unfortunately I don't have any doctors in your area to recommend, but I just wanted you to know that so many of us have been in the same place that you are right now, and we are here to help you through it. You should find lots of tips on how to improve your eyes and your comfort and also some support for coping with things until you improve. Hang in there, and write when you need to. We will be here to listen.

        Ding,

I am so sorry to hear of your suffering. Even in your lowest of low moments (and believe me, I am right there with ya), see if you can write down a couple of things for which you are grateful. It seems silly, but sometimes it helps me find the joy within my suffering.

You could also try some guided imagery CD's to help you relax. I would post a good website for purchasing these types of CD's, but I am not sure if I can. If you are interested in this, PM me and I will recommend a good website.

I also use yoga and meditation. These things calm me immensely.

I know these things don't relieve your pain and suffering, but they may help you calm your mind so that you can cope a bit better.

I say this gently, but have you considered mental health counseling? This has helped me as well. You are suffering a shock and there is always some grief involved, so this might help get you through.

Ding - hang in there. It is early yet so there is good chance you will see lots of improvement.

        In health,

        MDE

Keep going Ding you are definitely in the right place on this website. A lot of us have been where you are today and almost without exception we have found help and eventual improvement. You will find a lot of options and not all of them will suit you but it really is a case of trial and error. It will get better, never fear and you will have some really bad days but also things will start to improve. Try to log how your eyes feel and then you can measure gradual improvement. I am now 30 months post lasik and if you look at my early posts i was just like you but now I am 100% improved, in fact i can't remember when I last put drops in my eyes.
You have a great support mechanism with this web site so if in doubt ask!

                time heals

thanks hangus I really needed to hear your story it hopefuly will get me some strength to get past this time everything about this is so slow ie: healing, getting blood serum drops, restasis takes forever to work eye doctors look at you for 30 min then say do such and such see me in a month. meanwhile you just suffer. I am going to order some dwell as I know I need a drop that will last and I can use at night. I got some tranquileyes they helped the severe drying at night. but eyes still hurt 24/7. anyway thanks again ding

I'm having such a great day now. Such compliments...and I'm wearing blue mirrored Harley Davidson goggles.

Hangus, I am glad to know of your good news. I've been following a therapeutic regimen of Dwelle and Dakrina and am definitely having a better spring season than usual.
