I was also told by my doctor to use the same vial of Restasis for more than one dose. He told me to use one vial per day, but I use it until it runs out (two days) with no ill effect. The doctor's office gave me a little plastic thing that has the Allergan logo on it that you put the Restasis vials in so that they stand up on end. Maybe they SAY to use one vial per application and then discard, I think they are saying that merely to protect their tails in case someone gets an infection and blames it on them.
