how long for dryness to go away from BAK

I used elestat-only for 4 days last week. my eyes seem to be doing a little better but just like when i used lotemax last year-they are so dry... i have been reading articles on how bad BAK is for dry eyes-although the preservative is in many drops...

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how long does it take for it to go away? when will my eyes not be this 'excessively dry' from the bak preservative????
