Hi everyone.
I started getting dry eyes about 1 1/2 years ago, then started developing dryness in my nose and other areas. I see an eye doctor regularly because I have border line glaucoma. I had laser surgery to halt the glaucoma and it did work so I don't need drops for that...it was not Lasik surgery. I have seen quite a few doctors about this dryness. My eye doctor says I have blepharitis from ocular rosacea. A rheumatologist says I don't have Sjogrens, but sicca syndrome, which is very similar. I am going to try to go to a specialist I found through this website because my dry eyes are still, on many days, partially debilitating. I get eye pain about 1- 4 days a week. I was a secretary but had to leave my job because I have another autoimmune disease, ulcerative colitis, but now that is in remission. Then I developed this eye problem and so I am unable to use the computer at length on a consistent basis. I really appreciate this website, it has helped educate me and makes me feel less alone.
