Azyter Azithromycin 1.5%

I couldn't believe that europe patients could not access to AzaSite. So after some researching, I found out about some new eye drop indentical to AzaSite, only stronger: Azyter from Thea Pharma.

Has anyone heard of it ? Here in Spain is called "Azydrop" and acts against the following bacteria :

I know it is on the market in Spain, France, Italy and Germany. Don't know about other european countries (is Thea established in the UK ? ), the name varies from country to country...here in Spain they labeled it as 'Azydrop'.

Go to a drugstore and ask them about azithromycin ophthalmic. If this drug or similar is available there, they will come up with a name. If you do need a prescription, they will ask for it.

I have plans to talk about Azyter when I see my Dr. in February. My current treatment is not working (warm compresses + lid massage + minocycline) but I will give it more time.

Just as Inspire is working to get AzaSite approved for blepharitis, so is Théa with Azyter:

AzaSite failed to meet primary goals in phase II trials. On the other hand, I've only read positive experiences from patients with anterior bleph. I cured my anterior bleph with lid cleaning in a week.

My doctor prescribed me Azyter because of an infection to the conjuntiva, it burned terribly but I had to use it only for 3 days...You need a prescription.
