Not sure if this is the right section to post my thread, so I apologize in advance.
Until a couple of years ago, I was as healthy as one could be, but that gradually changed when I started to become increasingly tired. At first, I thought I needed more sleep, but that didn't help at all, nor did consulting my GP - blood tests didn't show anything out of the ordinary. The edges of my upper and lower eyelids have turned ''purple'', my eyes get irritated and red (especially at night and when going out). The symptoms worsen as the day progresses and the only option that offers some relief is closing them.
I started thinking what it could possible be and noticed that the tiredness seemed to concentrate primarily on the eyes. Waking up with tired eyes and going to bed in even worse state, so I decided to visit an optometrist, whom told me that I do not need glasses. Next, I went to two opthamologists, neither of them could find anything.
So here I am, three years later with no solution while the situation doesn't seem to improve. Being a graduate student and only 23, I am in serious need of help and appreciate any feedback. I've been told that it's uncommon for people of my age to have dry eyes, so probably that's not what I've got, but perhaps this forum offers a starting point as I assume more people with eye problems ended up here.
Many thanks in advance,
Jan
