Have been to my ophthalmologist today with painful thready spots on edge of cornea. (Have MGD/Blepharitits). I thought I had prepared well; I told him I had just got a prescription from my GP for Viscotears PF. He said MGD/Bleph well controlled. He said I have filaments and prescribed Ilube. He said it had preservative but was OK. I think he was surprised I that felt I needed PF eye drops. When I got home I looked up Ilube and found the preservative to be BAK. Now I don't know whether to get the Ilube or not. I have only been on the Viscotears for a couple of days, but they do seem to give good dry eye/pain relief. Any advice? The scrip is only for one month.
