I hope he only meant that his clinical signs are worse. Because if he had the nerve to try to suggest that his eyes FEEL worse than yours - which he has zero way of knowing - that's not right. Clinical signs do NOT always match up with the severity of symptoms a patient feels.

I just want comfort
If he's making you feel like you're "obsessing", he's either too arrogant to see that something could be going on with your eyes that he doesn't understand, or, he doesn't know what else to do for you and is too proud to admit it (therefore is trying to blow you off by saying you should be fine now).

    Either way, it's not acceptable.

One's signs and symptoms don't always match - this has been shown time and time again. Your doctor should know this, and if he doesn't, he's a fool.

If the way your eyes feel is interfering with your ability to complete your studies at university, interfering with the normal activities of daily living, and/or interfering with your ability to work, there is still a problem and it needs to get investigated further, be treated further, and taken seriously. While I completely understand that docs can't always fix us, the least he could do is keep trying. Because his insinuations that you're "obsessing" and that your "obsessing" is the only thing stopping you from living a normal life, are a complete cop out.

So trust yourself, and do NOT - not for 1 second - doubt yourself. If your eyes don't feel right, something is still going on that needs to be addressed. It's not always easy to figure out the cause. It's not always easy to figure out an effective combination of treatments. Sometimes one is unlucky and it can't be fixed with currently available treatments (I'd put myself in this category). But nonetheless, a good doc will stick by your side and continue to at least TRY to help you. Granted, sometimes they run out of treatment options... but they should still stick around so they can be there to prescribe new treatments as they come to market.

Yes, I agree with the clinical signs and symptoms I don't know why he brought it up, possibly to relate no idea. And he did suggest some things just it didn't feel nice when he assumed that I was obsessing, so I again agree with you. I'm just sorta waiting again to find out hopefully via pain specialist about why I still have it (trying to see if my antidepressants effect me for hyper sensitivity)... it's not painful. Just uncomfortable.

IPL would help calm down the inflammation temporarily but if the source of inflammation is not eliminated then it will keep coming back. It's so important to find out the source of inflammation and address it.

I know from my allergy bumps them rubbing against my eye causes inflammation, but this is under control as I've been told. So I'm maybe thinking its further in? I've had 7 seconds before with another allergy drop fish oil and warm compress I think. So I am addressing the allergy part considering these people I see now brought it to light once I first met them. But now its sorta like, i thought IPL would get me to 10 seconds from the last time i had 7/8 but now it's still at 7, happy just want my eyes to be comfortable yknow ??
