  • Simple Eye Ointment

This is: "Medicinal liquid paraffin, yellow soft paraffin and wool fat are used as an eye ointment to lubricate the outer surface of the eye".

I wonder has anyone got any comments about long term use of this product?

I know that Lacrilube has some concerns linked with it as regards to the ingredient 'Petrolatum'. Click here for the forum's entry on Lacrilube

    All the best

    Angelo.

    Not a lot

I think you will find these 2 products are much the same. Main problem with use I understand is it can affect "wettability" of the eye i.e. disrupting the tear film due to its viscosity. This can happen short term as well as long term but is not a major problem.
