  • A bad dry eye year in the UK?

I've noticed a few people here in the UK posting about their symptoms getting worse, I've also noticed my own eyes deteriorating this summer.

The weather has been awful - with loads of fierce wind all over the country - and apparently pollen counts very high late on into the season.

This time last year my eyes were loads better, and I can't help wondering whether there is a strong allergy connection here???

Any other fellow sufferers have any views on this phenomenon...it's always comforting to know one isn't alone

    Hello,
Where did you get data about pollen counts?
I've noticed it seems extra humid around here this week. This should help dry eye. I've not had a good summer for dry eyes but I wouldn't say its particularly worse than last one.

      hi there
the info about pollen counts comes from weather reports on the TV...they've said many times this year that "pollen counts - particularly grass - have been much higher, and for much longer than usual". Don't know how scientific this is of course...
