sounds good, has anyone tried testosterone cream?

submitting an IND, guessing this is phase 1, but could be on the market by 2007.

All these treatments are aimed at older women, what i want to know is where does this leave the younger generation?

The second link is for natural progesterone, I think.

I have tried 2 types of testosterone cream around my eyes--but not too close; I don't want it going IN my eyes. Ihaven't noticed any effect, good or bad. I haven't used it every day or given it much of a "scientific" evalution--i.e., I use so many other things for dry eye: Restasis, vitamins, eye drops, etc.--that I can't tell which is doing what. I DO think the Restasis is helping, though.

What testosterone cream have you tried? perscription ones or non like this one? yea obviously you would have to keep it far away from eyes, so donno how effective it would be.

It was an Rx and was compounded by a local pharmacy/chemist. One type had an alcohol gel base, and the other was a cream. I hate to admit this, but I got the creams to see if the testosterone would help with low libido. I found it to be minimally effective for that purpose, but never threw it away--I still apply some around my eyes occasionally to see if I notice anything. Totally unscientific trial, I know. This is the pharmacy website--for more info. Click on the link for testosterone.

So did you get perscribed this testosterone cream for low libido and just used it for your eyes?

Is doing this the same as the cream in these trials, but not specically made for opthmalic (sp) use?

Would this testosterone cream you can buy on the internet be any different to the one you were perscribed?

Coz i know someone who uses perscrition testosterone cream, so might see if i can borrow some for around eyes, not on them, probally wouldnt get to the glands though? do you think this is safe, wont grow any hair or anything like that would i?

Sorry for all the qs, Chears

                -Yes
Is doing this the same as the cream in these trials, but not specically made for opthmalic (sp) use?
-Maybe...sounds similar. The creams/gels are formulated for skin application, whereas ophthalmic use goes INTO the eyes. Depends on what the base has in it, I guess--and whether that would be irritating to the eyes (e.g., the gel/alcohol vapors).
Would this testosterone cream you can buy on the internet be any different to the one you were perscribed?
                -I don't know.

-The cream would likely absorb through the skin and into the glands, but you should consult your own doctor about using it this way. Is your friend male or female? The concentration of testosterone in formulas prescribed for women is very low, and not likely to cause unwanted hair growth.
