There are many doctors to choose from, if one doesnt feel right look for another.

I'd say this goes beyond ethics. It also speaks to bedside manner, personality and training. I've spoken to my dad, a retired MD, about this extensively because I've had some issues with my physicians in dealing with my eyes. My dad has helped me navigate the personalities and remember, while I'm very emotional about this issue, my doctors are not. I've found that younger doctors tend to be better at listening (there are exceptions on both sides of the fence) because that's something that is addressed in medical schools now. There are also those doctors (again, typically older), who, if they can't figure out what is wrong will pick the closest thing that it could be and tell you that's what you have even though you may not.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to advocate for what you need. Don't forget, if the doctor you are seeing isn't able to give you what you need, get another opinion, and another until you find a doctor that gives you what you need. A doctor can be brilliant and incredibly talented but not be able to give you what you need. The best doctors will even help you find a second opinion if you ask (that being said, I haven't felt comfortable asking my own specialist for referral and had my dad find me someone instead). And trust your instincts.
