  • question for a pro-can honey be bad for dry eyes since it is a sugar?

I tend to eat quite a bit of honey-several teaspoons per day-i got into this habit as i was using it in spring/summer for allergies and it seemed to help. However my MGDs seem to get clogged awfully fast after getting the doc to express them. 90% of my diet besides the honey consists of fresh veggies, fruits, eggs and fish-i have even began to watch my intake of chicken unless its organic....

I know every eye specialist out there says sugar contributes to dry eye-does honey contribute to dry eye (clog the meibomian glands) even though it is an anti inflammatory?? I have been searching the web and cannot find a definitive answer. thank you!!
