Staph Infection - diagnosis!

I had an appointment w/Dr. ****** about 2 weeks ago and received a call yesterday about my cultures. Turns out I have a staph infection. I pressed for more information, but Dr. ****** was out of town and the nurse wasn't much help.
Could this be the cause of allll my dry eye symptoms? My Shirmers was <1 and I have had ongoing symptoms for close to a year.

Anyone had a similar diagnosis?

What kind of doctor is he??

I've been wondering how to go about doing those kind of tests dealing why my eyes to see if there is a bacterial cause to my dry eyes other than contact use; and currently my dry eyes is supposdley caused by lasik.

Staph

Dr. ****** specializes in dry eye, but to be honest I'm confused about the staph infection. I was told to apply the antibiotic (Ciloxan) to my eyelashes at the base, which would suggest some sort of blepharitis.

I wasn't able to get much information from his assistant, so now I'm just confused.
