I've been on serum drops for three months now. Something happened recently at my compounding pharmacy where they no longer do the blood draw on site. When I spoke with my eye clinic about this they said that they were having trouble finding someone who could legally transport the blood to the compounding pharmacy--I guess it is a rather sensitive process.
We are still trying to coordinate something. We are having trouble because it seems that no hospitals in the area are currently in the business of doing this.
I'm not too familiar with the rules and regs surrounding transport of blood. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I felt for sure that perhaps Emory University would have someone who could do this. My remaining serum drops expire in a week, and my eye clinic has been trying to figure this out for about three weeks now. There are several other patients who need these drops.
