I started the symptoms of dry eye in february,over the summer i have been tormented by constant painful blinking which ive no control over.For the past month my eyes have been crunching up and squeezing themselves shut. The eye pain is unbearable ive too wait at least two months to return to eye hospitl to see dry eye specialist..can this be resolved when my eyes improve...or am i stuck with it....im so anxious about it that i rarely leave the house...sunlight makes it worse..I would be pleased to have some advice as i am at my wits end with this..do other dry eye sufferers get forced blinking and eye spasms.ive got headaches all the time too...

I don't know anything about blepharasm, but I have in the past had excessive blinking and spasms in the right eye and sunlight really bothers me, too.

I know you must feel terrible. Please hold on until you can see your eye specialist. Hopefully, someone else here can give you some information. I am very new with MGD and just wanted you to know someone cares.

I totally agree with Carolynyvonne on how sorry I am for what you are going thru. You're in my prayers and hopefully your eye specialist will be very helpful... If you are in extreme pain, you might consider seeing a different ophthamologist in the meantime... We feel your pain, hang in there...

Hi can i ask you how many weeks or months you suffered from your excessive blinking and eye spasms,and if they have cleared up for you... As i am in a desperate state at the moment wondering if this nightmare is ever gonna end...regards and best of luck, cherrybrandy...
