    Hi toril,

    This sure does sound interesting!
Very promising development, although by now i've seen so many reports of supposedly effective drugs come to the surface that we never heard of again. unfortunately almost all of them somehow quietly disappeared after a while.
But still,i'm really hopeful this cf101 could be the miracle wonder drug we're all waiting for or at least is a valuable addition to the very limited and not always very effective treatment options we've had until this point.
    Fingers crossed i guess!

    All the best,
    Patrick..

Any idea what this drug is supposed to do? I tried to look it up, but I didn't see much on the purpose of it, or what exactly it is supposed to do.

google 'a3 adenosine receptor agonist'. there is quite a comprehensive description on wikipedia...

I've been using a little known sleep inducer for many years, it's called "Adenosine". It's the substance that cf101 is producing by binding to the 'a3 Adenosine receptor' and since it's an agonist, it stimulates more Adenosine release.

The Adenosine I take is not known as a powerful anti-inflammatory, but more for it's role in the central nervous system, epilepsy, tissue ischaemia (hence used in cardiology for lack of blood to the heart). However, it's value in dry eyes can work via inducing sleep for anyone with insomnia. We all know dry eyes NEED regenerative sleep.
