  • Treatment options for stomach irritation

Hi, while no post. Quick question anyone have any answer/experience with, I've been on lymecycline for a bit too long and my stomach seems to gave become irritated, I see that both drug groups Proton pump inhibitors and H2-receptor antagonists can cause eye problems, any ideas/experience which group (or specific drug) is lesser evil (I have MGD and aqueous deficiency)? Thanks guys, wish I could be here more often but things aren't going very well.

prevention is better than cure, but not for eyes?

Any experience on anti-acid treatments to heal after antibiotic damage from long-term use that don't cause more eye problems? Still very concerned about this. Please help.

      Hi,

I have been taking prescription antacids for years for reflux and do not think they have affected my eyes at all. There is no way I could deal with heartburn and DES!

Amyfloor, Thanks for your kind reply. Which antacid are you prescribed? We are looking for something that's not PPI or doesn't act on histamine http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/searc...3A%22PPI%22%7D

          It's called dexilant. I do believe it's a PPI.
