  • Possible dry eye treatment to launch next year.

    http://www.rightrelevance.com/search...unt=optometrry

Surprised someone hasn't mentioned this on the forums today, so thought I would link it here for all. (There are more detailed webpages on it if you research, such as how this drug works which worth reading up on) but this one gives it a basic over view.

There is hope guys, don't give up.

plus there are many more drugs now in phase 2.
It may not be tomorrow, but they will come.
People have recovered, so can we.

this drug failed in reaching its goals in its initial phase 3 clinical trials. they redesigned the trial to get it approved. i wouldn't hold out much hope for it.

Can you tell us what you know about them "redesigning the clinical trails to get approval?"

i'm no expert. all i know is that it failed reaching its endpoints in its initial phase 3 trial. they somehow resubmitted and won approval. maybe they changed their endpoints instead of redesigning the trial itself. i'm not saying it won't help anyone, but it seems clear it won't be a magic bullet.

Bit of an update here http://eyewiretoday.com/tv/eyewiretv...-application-/

( also I recommend this website for keeping up to date with all dry eye drugs, the most recent news talks about another phase 3 drug and a preserve free version of rastasis for 2016, it's all done in video news feeds so easy to follow with out tiny print reading)

Just an update on Lifitegrast as it was discussed on the Dry Eye Talk Facebook page and I had a search around earlier.

            http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-rel...567715091.html

Given the size of the trials and the positive outcomes in signs and symptoms so far I really hope this one gets to market.
