  • Neuropathic Ocular Pain

Has anyone heard of neuropathic ocular pain associated with dry eye?

I have a constant pressure-like feeling especially on the top of my right eye and was told it's "possibly" due to this.....

I think everyone here has it in one form or another. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe its just nerve pain on the surface of the eye, and neurotrophic pain is coming from the receptors behind the eye.

Here is a good thread on the subject: http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/forum...uropathy/page3

Yes and it feels like my eyes are constantly being pushed down from the top under my top eyelid. By surface, it's not the cornea for me, it is literally the top under the top eyelid. I read up on glaucoma because Mom had it and I wanted to know if this was a symptom of that but all it says is eye pain ....

I don't wear contacts - never could - and this started a few weeks ago and won't go away. I take Vitamin A, C and D3 but I read in the thread about magnesium. Maybe I should try that.
