  • Repositioning Lasik Flap

Hi all i want to have your opinion about something.

First of all a little of my background to understand , i had lasik then dry eyes and used Manuka Honey in my eyes.

My flaps were well created , in the center , not near the limbus ( dark line near the sclera of your eyes). But after used Manuka honey i feel them de-centered and they are de-centered , i will do a Flap lift 26 January in Spain by Doctor Alio. When he will flap my lift im sure he will see something is wrong with their position.

    I have seen this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3NOFdP831E

" Patient seen the day following LASIK whose flap has slipped secondary to inadvertent contact with it on the evening following surgery. Video demonstrated how quickly epithelium migrates from both the flap edge and the corneal periphery in an attempt to close the "epithelial defect". The unwanted, advancing epithelial edge is reflected back, the flap floated into its correct position utilizing balanced saline solution in a 3cc ''

Explaining the epithelium grow to " plug the gap " between the ablation and the flap. When it must be repositioned.

My theory is that when i used the Honey , it moved my flaps and epithelium grew and plug the gap.

If the surgeron lift my flap and "destroy the epithelium who grew , he could replace then the flap where it was , right?

I need your opinion. Thank you
