My eyes have been very dry for many years now. I've gone through the gamut of potential solutions, but have never been probed. There's a dry eye optometrist who I find to be quite well informed. He says he's reached the bottom of his bag with me and says he can see through his slit lamp that my tears are getting caught up in the folds of my conjunctiva. He thinks an operation could help. I also see a cornea specialist who disagrees. She says since I have no pain and my eyes don't excessively tear that chalasis is not my problem. Has anyone out there been helped by this surgery even though there was no pain before it, only severe dryness?
