I have it off and on, thus, I can detect a pattern when mine will be dry or the cause of it.
Usually when I don't get enough sleep, my eyes are extremely dry the next day and burn and can barely open them.
In addition, if i don't get GOOD sleep, the same happens.
Something really ODD is that, say, I'm having dry eyes, and I drink a 6 pack of beer or more, the next day, my eyes are NOT dry at all! This is something I'm totally confused about. Why would this occur? You'd think alcohol would cause more dry eye!
Additionally, to add to discussion, I have a history of anxiety, depression, etc for the past 20 years.
I've tried all eye drops, only thing that helps is steroid eye drops. They wont even give me them for my On and Off symptoms. Which is weird. Because I wouldn't be using them everyday. They are so fearsome of steroid eye drops. I've read articles they are over-hyped as being bad for you, but what about Stress? That's even worse for you.
