  • Is a sauna safe for dry eyes?

I have not posted before but I do have a question for my daughter who has chronic dry eyes since birth. She is planning on going to a sauna and I'm wondering if the dry heat would be dangerous for her dry eyes?

Dry heat has a low humidity, which can reduce tbut so it won't be ideal. I'm not sure if it's dangerous, pretty uncomfortable though I wouldn't of thought she would like to stay in there long. Maybe a steam room is better instead?
People have recovered, so can we.

Is there a hygrometer in the sauna, whats the humidity? The one they have at my gym has 64% humidity. The sauna is the only place where my eyes feel perfect, unfortunately I cant stay more than 15 minutes in there and I cant tell if I get a lasting benefit for my eyes.

Mine too. And several hours after the sauna too.

whoops - there are dry saunas and wet saunas, i forgot to clarify i was talking about a dry one. the wet ones (which are just called steam rooms here) have 100 percent humidity.
