  • Inner corners of my eyes are yellow with lots of red veins-why?

I notice so many people have very clear white areas on their eyes, but mine are not white at all. In addition to the redness they are kind of yellow in the corner. How can I get the whites whiter and what is the yellow? I'm in my mid-30s and only see this yellowing in elderly people.

    Hi tiff,
I am not a doctor, but your question was interesting, and so I looked it up: http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH...8/1470862.html

The Harvard doc has good advice. It may be nothing, or not. Guess it depends on how yellow they are. Best to you.

      Thanks for the reply.

It's only the inner corners that are not white where there are no red veins. I don't look like jaundice eyes at all and have no other symptoms of bilirubin issues. Do any of you here on DEZ have this issue with your eyes?

This may simply be due to sun damage during childhood; a pingueculum.

If in doubt, have it checked by your local eye doctor.
