My meibographies have shown fairly significant gland dropout (about 30 percent) on the nasal side of each lower lid. All upper lid glands intact. Needless to say this causes me a lot of concern for the future. Could other longer term patients who have had dropout share their experiences to provide some perspective. Doctors have said they are concentrating on keeping the ones I still have healthy, but don't talk about expectations. Is it realistic that the other glands can make up the difference? All input is appreciated.
