  • Sclera lenses and glasses

I have been wearing sclera lenses about 6 years now and no issues with them, they are great and gave me back my vision but wondering has anyone that wears scleras also have glasses to wear as an alternative? I have been getting pink eye (unsure of what reason this is happening) every few months and of course when I have the infection cannot wear my scleras but then I cannot drive because I do not have enough vision to see without them to drive but enough to do things around the house and work. I have blepharitis and a cornea transplant in one eye and the start of a small cataract. Is there any glasses out there any sclera users as an alternative to help have your vision ? Thinking it would be nice to have a break now and then from the lenses as well just on a regular basis, after a long day at work it is a major relief to get them out.... any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes I have been wearing sclera lens for about 18 months now due to dry eyes and irregular cornea from lasik. but I do give myself a break esp on weekends. I went all weekend in my glasses this past weekend. I had to use drops a few times and my vision is not great due to the ghosting but I do give my eyes a break on the weekends (mainly if I am not going anywhere).

You can buy 7Eye by Panoptyx with the foam seal and have your ophthalmologist order them with prescription lenses. I have bifocals done this way, but don't wear mine very often as they tend to look uber severe, but perhaps there is a more gentle looking frame. I have the black frames.

Thank you both for the feedback, most appreciated, I have a follow up with the eye Dr today to check the pink eye issue and going to discuss potential glasses as an alternative, I guess I have the PROSE so long (about 6 years now) that I just stopped thinking I had glasses as an alternative but would like to take a break from them now and then. I will look into the frames you mentioned LaDiva.

Have a nice weekend and thank you again for the responses.
