  • Can eyelashes falling in eyes make things worse?

    Hey.
An eyelash fell into my left eye, which is my worst eye. Now i'm feeling even more pain than I was before, even after I got it out. It hit in the inside of my lower lid and that's where I feel pain.

What's funny is that this is what partly started my dry eye in the first place. I had a very small brown object fall in to the lower lid of my same eye and ever since then I had dry eyes. The doctor I went to said I just had tissue swollen that caused some inflammation and that it would go way by itself but just in case he gave me maxitrol.

I took maxitrol and it went away but now I'm scared to take it again because of my dry eyes. But it helped with the foreign body pain. I'm wondering if this is hitting a nerve in my eye or something. I also notice I get headaches with this.

Just as I start to get better with coping with this mentally something knocks me back down. Sigh.
