diagnosed with pterygium

Hello everyone

I was recently diagnosed with a pterygium. Doc gave some fluorometholone eyedrops.
I'm seeing him tomorrow after only 3 weeks of my firsy appointment.
My question is: Isnīt that too soon?

What is pterygium? Ive never heard of it.
