Ever since I had dry eyes, my eyes have been getting slight double vision from reading or focusing activities. Like when I play on the computer or read an article on it. It's gotten worse to the point that if I just do these activities(computer use) or play a game for an hour, my eyes start getting worse. I don't know if it's nearsightedness or farsightedness but whenever I look at an edge of an object, I can see the ghost image of it(double vision) especially on a black object on a white background. I'm worried if I had damaged my eyes permanently. I really don't want to wear glasses again. I had to wear them when I was a child because of an accident but after wearing them for around 5 years, the doctors said I didn't need them anymore. So about my eyesight, whenever I wake up and do a couple compresses, my eye sight is near perfect, no double vision but very slightly when I look at contrasting objects(like what I said earlier, a black object in a white background). But after I do some reading or use the computer, it gets worse immediately. This does not affect my ability to see far away though. it's no blurry or anything, I am able to read words from very far away. Are there any excercises I can do to counteract this effect? I have another eye appointment to discuss about my dry eye in around a month.

I have a similar problem after wearing moisture chambers, or when my eye gets severely dry. I can't say that your eyesight isn't permanently damaged, but mine always goes away after I get my tear drains plugged and my eyes are moist again for a good couple weeks.
I know my eyes also get far worse when I'm reading or on the computer - I assume because I blink less, even with trying to forceably blink frequently. I often wear moisture chambers with a few drops of water in them during these activities, or put a little humidifier in front of me to help a bit.
