  • What's with the Flaking?

I've got moderate to severe dry eye with intermittent blepharitis, aqueous deficiency, mild meiboman gland deficiency.

My eyelashes flake a lot. It's not the eye drops because it happens without that. I wash my eyes throughout the day, but the flaking keeps returning.

What causes this (i know blepharitis, but i want to know more precisely) ? What are the flakes made of? How can I stop it?

I believe its the dry oil from your meiobem glands.

Yes the glands that run along the edge of the upper and lower lids. They produce the oil layer of your tear film. If your oil layer is not of a good consistancy it can block your glands, which means the oil is not of a good quality. That can caus crusting along your lash line. Google mgd eye.
