Hi. Yes, it definitely can affect you the next day. It's like already having dry and chapped lips and then going outside on a windy day with no protection, making it worse!
You should wear some kind eye protection at night, if you are not already. If I do not wear my TranquilEyes moisture googles to sleep, I notice my eyes feel much drier the next day. Here's the one I use sold in Rebecca's Dry Eye Shop, plus she has other nightwear goggles on her site:

When my eyes used to be severely dry and TranquilEyes was not enough, I also used Genteal Severe Eye Gel right before going to sleep, and sometimes reapplied it in the middle of the night. Otherwise the next morning I could barely open my eyes, and that day my eyes would be even worse than usual. A few people have developed an allergic reaction after extensive use to this Genteal Gel, and ideally one should not use eye gels/ointments all the time, but this was the only thing that gave me the most comfort and was long lasting both night and day during my really dry years. For me ALL other drops bothered my eyes or didn't do anything for me. I don't think I could have made it through all those years without this product, just use it sparingly, you don't need a lot:

Also helpful is doing a warm compress for 10 minutes before you go to sleep and mornings, if your dry eye problem is related to your meibomian glands. This will help stimulate the glands and make the oils flow. I use ThermalOn warm compress, because it moods well to your eye, and only have to microwave it once for it to stay warm 10 minutes,:

Hope this helps!
