Does lasik take years to heal advice please

Please can I ask for clarification from an ophthalmologist in the community? I was told by the supplier of lasik surgery that lasik takes years to heal and any interruption in this process due to dryness slows the process down. Is this actually true or a myth?

I am not 100% sure but when I had lasik my left eye was dry for 18 months. It is a hard question to answer because I have 4 friend who had Lasik and loved it from day 1. I had Lasik and my left eye was killing me, was I healing? Maybe, or was it just that my left eye was not a big fan of being cut open? I guess in short if you just had Lasik within the last 6 months give it time. At least a year and then see how you feel. Just my two cent but I hope you get better soon..
