Since I developed DES, I can see an oily, wavy film wash over my cornea every time I blink. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think it's visible in healthy eyes and I wonder what's causing it. After blinking and opening my eyes, a wave that starts from the bottom of my cornea travels in an upward direction until it breaks up into wavy, oily pattern. I didn't think you can physically see your tear film break up without using staining?
