That thing actually looks familiar. I had a number of different tests done but don't know what all of them were (I know some of them like corneal topography). I might be getting confused with the eye pressure test thing though because I think it looked a bit similar.
Sounds useful especially as it's low cost.
Good to read your eyes are doing better. Shame you still get inconsistent reports from different doctors. It's so confusing - and makes things more difficult when that happens. It's such a shame there isn't a standardisation of dry eye and mgd diagnosis and treatment.
Re inflammation. My eyes seemed - finally -a little better last week. I think it was the steroids but now the course has finished. Everything was ok but then things got bad again at the weekend. After I cried. Every single time I cry - even just a few tears, my eyes are then horrible for the next week at least. It's hard not to ever cry even although I try very hard now.
So I've decided to try the HOCI scrubs you mention. I didn't want to spend anymore money on this. But anything is worth trying even if I have to spend more money.
Perhaps those 2 people you read of on here who were told not to do scrubs have different causes/symptoms? Every doctor I've seen has told me to do scrubs - although it does seem each doctor has a different idea on what to do with this condition (one tells me it doesn't matter if it's hot flannels, another insists it has to be the eyebag, another one said to do cold compresses instead, etc, etc).
