The burning maybe due to dry eye but I had debilitating sharp pain in both my eyes that came on rather sudden after I had lasik. At first I saw a neurologist for the whole corneal neuralgia thing because the pain was so intense. My problem was actually from a binocular vision disorder that was caused by the lasik. I had to do a year of vision therapy but it solved that aspect of my eye problems. I would certainly seek out a doctor who will do a thorough binocular and depth perception test. That’s important that it’s thorough because I passed the first binolucar vision test I was given by a regular OD but failed miserably at the second, more involved test. Is the pain somewhat diminished when you first wake up in the morning before using your eyes? And are you extremely sensitive to light?

And if it is corneal neuralgia the drug topamax is also supposed to help.
