I am about two weeks post-op on both eyes for AMT without sutures. My surgeon used glue for faster healing. At this point, I am only on the steroid PF free drops and I have stopped the NSAID and antibiotics. My eyes are still blood shot, maybe worse than the day after surgery. I've been documenting my healing by taking pictures of my eyes everyday, and it looks like the past few days that my redness has stayed the same. Not getting better or worse--just the same redness and hemorrhaging. In terms of comfort, there are random moments where I feel like someone is "tugging" at the back of my eye--almost like a weird nerve or muscle pain. Not sure if this is related to the surgery.
My doctor is unfortunately in LA but I am in Florida for the next two months, so I am working with a local doctor here. The local doctor said everything looks like and redness is normal due to subconj hemorrhaging, but when I called my LA doctor, he seemed to be a bit concerned with the prolonged redness. He said to be a bit more aggressive with the steroids to avoid developing scar tissue.
I have pictures if anyone is interested.
I am just mainly worried about the redness at this point. My eyes no longer burn as much and in terms of comfort level, they are pretty comfortable.
