  • Possibly an undiagnosed problem with the eye itself?

I noticed something today. I'll try to explain it best I can. The pain and discomfort always seemed to be in one spot on eyelid. I noticed when I put my finger in that spot and look left now the pain is on the left part of eyelid. When I look right it's on the right. This tells me it's my eye itself not my eyelid that's causing such discomfort. Its one specific spot on my eye. If' it was the gritty, dry, and scratchiness on eyelid causing it wouldn't the pain stay in that spot of eyelid. Not move from left to right depending on where I'm looking?

Doctors are completely stumped as to why I have no symptoms in my right eye even though both have severe gland dropout. Could I potentially have a separate thing going on with my eye itself? Next step is cornea specialist.

If the pain is always in a specific place when you move your iris in circle it probably comes from the eyelid.
For example move your iris on the right top you feel the pain, then move your iris on the left you feel nothing => irritation on the right top of lid.
A good doc should see the irritation. In your case you always feel something so I think you should see a cornea specialist
