    Fantastic news!! Smokyie

Prokera is not new but there are a very small percentage of physicians recommending it OR are aware of it. MORE physicians should be recommending this, but 2/3'rds of docs are working in the past and dark ages or simply don't care to LEARN new treatments.

I really researched to find a physician who is aware if Prokera and knows how to administer it. I actually picked up the phone and called BioTissue, the company down in Florida that developed it to find a local physician.

Yes, Prokera and its plastic retaining ring is the battle. I hear most people simply tape their eye shut to help not blink while it is in.Sometimes they fall out on their own, once one falls out, that's it, their done.

These questions you answer may help others:

    1. Did you request it or was it suggested for you?
    2. Are you a post refractive patient, meaning any surgeries like PRK/LASIK/SMILE? If so, how long ago?
    3. Prokera is around $1K per eye, this usually requires pre-authorizations from insurance co's. What did you pay out of pocket if you like to share?
    4. What region of the US are you located? State/City.

    Take Care.
