Can you get addicted to restasis?

So my eye doctor wants me to take restasis or xiidra, I am wondering if you start taking these do you have to take them for life? If you stop does your dry eye return to what is was before or become worse?

No, you do not become addicted. I found Restasis to be totally unpredictable. Works, doesn't work, makes the eyes worse, makes one eye water constantly,,,, I had all of these results over one year. You don't have to take it for life.Your dry eye may or may not return.

It’s considered a long term drug, so you take it for life. The problem I’ve experienced is that it worked amazingly well for a while and then completely stopped working after about 18 months. I tried Xiidra after that, which worked even better, but only for about 6 months until it stopped working too. It makes me so sad. I’m running out of options, and I don’t know what I’m going to do now!
