Colloidal silver

Does anyone here have experience with ocular use of colloidal silver?

I have a longtime reader who has been using it in liquid form twice a day for some years now and is convinced it is helping her ocular rosacea symptoms tremendously. I don't know anything about it and was just curious whether there are other users here.

I have friends that swear by it for colds, etc. I've tried it but never noticed any remarkable difference in anything. There was a point where I did spritz my eyes with it but at some point, I wasn't sure if it was really a good idea so I stopped.
