  • AMX (HAMT-EU) already approved?

according to this article AMX (now known as HAMT-EU) seems to be already approved? Does anyone know anything more about it?
A lot of people were very interested in it in the past and it might be already available.

looks like it was approved in italy - not necessarily the rest of europe or the united states. also, just because it was approved doesnt mean it is commercially available yet. that will likely take a little bit more time. will likely still be a little while longer.

No amniotic membrane drop is approved in the US. That would take years and millions of dollars for FDA drug approval.
That being said if your cornea has severe epithelial defect an amniotic membrane graft can be placed on the cornea to facilitate new epithelial growth. This is covered by most insurances.
