  • Eyelid turned inwards on waking?

I have realised that I am waking up (at least some mornings) with my lower eyelid turned inwards at the inner (nasal) corner. It is extremely painful to blink at first, but improves a bit if i manipulate my eyelid with my finger.

My most blocked glands are in the same area, but mainly on the upper lids. My worst corneal staining is also in this area.

Does anyone else experience this? Thoughts on possible causes?

Could it be floppy eyelid syndrome? When I was researching lagopthalmos, I saw there were a group of people that had very elastic lids. They would flip outward usually. I'm not sure what the cause is...possibly thyroid, possibly genetic. Not sure.
