  • subconjunctival hemorrhage

I have what I think is a subconjunctival haemorrhage (a small dark red spot surrounded by relatively white eyes).

Is it worth seeing a Dr or optometrist or is this yet another thing that will be treated like a joke and told to just put up with? I don't have an ophthalmologist at the moment.

I got these all the time when I first had surgery. They tend to fade over a couple of days.

    Hope it's fading fast!

That's what I'm fearing is that it will be permanent. I know they can go away by themselves but I know people who have these (or at least something that appears the same) and it's permanent.

Here I was thinking I was lucky at least that my eyes aren't usually that red for how bad they are.

I wonder if the constant corneal/conjunctival inflammation, abrasions etc can be a cause of this?
